Bhavanettisutta
Rādha asks the Buddha about the tie or conduit to rebirth, and the Buddha explains in terms of craving for the five aggregates.

พระนครสาวัตถี. ท่านพระราธะได้ทูลถามพระผู้มีพระภาคว่า ข้าแต่พระองค์ผู้เจริญ ที่เรียกว่า กิเลสเครื่องนำไปในภพ ในภพ ดังนี้ กิเลสเครื่องนำไปในภพเป็นไฉน? ความดับกิเลสเครื่องนำไปในภพเป็นไฉน?
พระผู้มีพระภาคตรัสตอบว่า ดูกรราธะ ความพอใจ ความกำหนัด ความเพลิดเพลิน ความทะยานอยาก ความเข้าถึง ความยึดมั่น อันเป็นที่ตั้งที่อยู่อาศัยแห่งจิตในรูป. นี้เรากล่าวว่ากิเลสเครื่องนำไปในภพ เพราะความดับสนิทแห่งกิเลสเหล่านั้น เรากล่าวว่าเป็นธรรมที่ดับสนิทแห่งกิเลสเครื่องนำไปในภพ. ความพอใจ ความกำหนัด ความเพลิดเพลิน ความทะยานอยาก ความเข้าถึง ความยึดมั่น อันเป็นที่ตั้งที่อยู่อาศัยแห่งจิต ในเวทนา … ในสัญญา … ในสังขาร … ในวิญญาณ. นี้เรากล่าวว่ากิเลสเครื่องนำไปในภพ เพราะความดับสนิทแห่งกิเลสเหล่านั้น เรากล่าวว่าเป็นธรรมเป็นที่ดับสนิทแห่งกิเลสเครื่องนำไปในภพ.

At Sāvatthī.

Ekamantaṁ nisinno kho āyasmā rādho bhagavantaṁ etadavoca:
Seated to one side, Venerable Rādha said to the Buddha:

“‘bhavanettinirodho, bhavanettinirodho’ti, bhante, vuccati.
“Sir, they speak of this thing called ‘the cessation of the leash to existence’.

Katamā nu kho, bhante, bhavanetti, katamo bhavanettinirodho”ti?
What is the leash to existence? And what is the cessation of the leash to existence?”

“Rūpe kho, rādha, yo chando yo rāgo yā nandī yā taṇhā ye upayupādānā cetaso adhiṭṭhānābhinivesānusayā—
“Rādha, any desire, greed, relishing, and craving for form; and any attraction, grasping, mental fixation, insistence, and underlying tendencies—
