ข้อความไทยนี้คือ พระไตรปิฎกภาษาไทย ฉบับหลวง ซึ่งแปลจากพระไตรปิฎกบาลีคนละฉบับกับบาลีที่แสดงอยู่ด้านล่าง จึงไม่ได้เรียงตรงกันบรรทัดต่อบรรทัด — อ่านเป็นสำนวนแปลอิสระอีกฉบับหนึ่ง
ข้อ ๑๗ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย บุคคล ๗ จำพวกนี้ เป็นผู้ควรของคำนับ ฯลฯเป็นนาบุญ ของโลกไม่มีนาบุญอื่นยิ่งกว่า ๗ จำพวกเป็นไฉน บุคคลบางคนในโลกนี้ พิจารณาเห็นความทุกข์

Sattime, bhikkhave, puggalā āhuneyyā …pe… anuttaraṁ puññakkhettaṁ lokassa.
“Mendicants, these seven individuals are worthy of offerings dedicated to the gods, worthy of hospitality, worthy of a religious donation, worthy of greeting with cupped palms, and are the supreme field of merit for the world.
