Arakkheyyasutta

Four areas where the Realized One has nothing to hide, and three ways he is irreproachable.

ข้อความไทยนี้คือ พระไตรปิฎกภาษาไทย ฉบับหลวง ซึ่งแปลจากพระไตรปิฎกบาลีคนละฉบับกับบาลีที่แสดงอยู่ด้านล่าง จึงไม่ได้เรียงตรงกันบรรทัดต่อบรรทัด — อ่านเป็นสำนวนแปลอิสระอีกฉบับหนึ่ง

ข้อ ๕๕ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย ฐานะ ๔ ประการนี้ ตถาคตไม่ต้องรักษา และตถาคตไม่พึง ถูกติเตียนด้วยฐานะ ๓ ประการ ฐานะ ๔ ประการที่ตถาคตไม่ต้องรักษาเป็นไฉน ดูกรภิกษุ ทั้งหลาย ตถาคตมีกายสมาจารบริสุทธิ์ ตถาคตไม่มีกายทุจริตที่จะต้องรักษาว่า คนอื่นอย่ารู้ข้อนี้ ของเราเลย ตถาคตมีวจีสมาจารบริสุทธิ์ตถาคตไม่มีวจีทุจริตที่จะต้องรักษาว่า คนอื่นอย่ารู้ข้อนี้ ของเราเลย ตถาคตมีมโนสมาจารบริสุทธิ์ ไม่มีมโนทุจริตที่จะต้องรักษาว่า คนอื่นอย่ารู้ข้อนี้ของ

หรือใครๆ ในโลกก็ดี จักคัดค้านเราในธรรมนั้นโดยชอบธรรมว่า แม้เพราะเหตุนี้ ท่านมิใช่เป็น ผู้มีธรรมอันกล่าวดีแล้ว ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย เราไม่เล็งเห็นนิมิตนั้น เมื่อไม่เห็น ย่อมถึงความ เกษมไม่มีภัย มีความแกล้าอยู่ ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย อนึ่ง ปฏิปทาอันเป็นเครื่องยังสัตว์ให้ถึงนิพพาน

ที่สาวกของเราผู้ปฏิบัติตามแล้ว ย่อมกระทำให้แจ้งซึ่งเจโตวิมุติปัญญาวิมุติ อันหาอาสวะมิได้ เพราะอาสวะทั้งหลายสิ้นไป ด้วยปัญญาอันยิ่งเองในปัจจุบัน เข้าถึงอยู่ อันเราบัญญัติไว้ดีแล้ว แก่สาวกทั้งหลาย สมณะก็ดี พราหมณ์ก็ดี เทวดาก็ดี มารก็ดี พรหมก็ดี หรือใครๆ ในโลก ก็ดี จักคัดค้านเราในปฏิปทานั้นโดยชอบธรรมว่า แม้เพราะเหตุนี้ ปฏิปทาอันเป็นเครื่องยังสัตว์ ให้ถึงนิพพาน ที่สาวกของท่านปฏิบัติแล้ว ย่อมกระทำให้แจ้งซึ่งเจโตวิมุติ ฯลฯ ไม่เป็นปฏิปทา อันท่านบัญญัติไว้ดีแล้วแก่สาวกทั้งหลาย ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย เราไม่เล็งเห็นนิมิตนั้น เมื่อไม่เห็น

ย่อมถึงความเกษม ไม่มีภัย แกล้วกล้าอยู่ อนึ่งสาวกบริษัทของเราเป็นร้อยๆ ย่อมกระทำให้แจ้ง ซึ่งเจโตวิมุติ ปัญญาวิมุติ อันหาอาสวะมิได้ เพราะอาสวะทั้งหลายสิ้นไป ด้วยปัญญาอันยิ่งเอง

ในปัจจุบัน เข้าถึงอยู่ สมณะก็ดี พราหมณ์ก็ดี เทวดาก็ดี มารก็ดี พรหมก็ดี หรือใครๆ ใน โลกก็ดี จักคัดค้านเราในข้อนั้นโดยชอบธรรมว่า แม้เพราะเหตุนี้ สาวกบริษัทเป็นร้อยๆ ไม่ได้ กระทำให้แจ้งซึ่งเจโตวิมุติ ปัญญาวิมุติ อันหาอาสวะมิได้ เพราะอาสวะทั้งหลายสิ้นไป ด้วย ปัญญาอันยิ่งเอง ในปัจจุบัน เข้าถึงอยู่ เราไม่เล็งเห็นนิมิตนั้น เมื่อไม่เห็น ย่อมถึงความเกษม ไม่มีภัย แกล้วกล้าอยู่ ตถาคตไม่พึงถูกติเตียนเพราะฐานะ ๓ ประการเหล่านี้ ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย

ฐานะ ๔ ประการนี้แลตถาคตไม่จำเป็นต้องรักษา และตถาคตไม่พึงถูกติเตียนด้วยฐานะ ๓

    “Cattārimāni, bhikkhave, tathāgatassa arakkheyyāni, tīhi ca anupavajjo.

    “Mendicants, there are four areas where the Realized One has nothing to hide, and three ways he is irreproachable.

    What are the four areas where the Realized One has nothing to hide?

    Parisuddhakāyasamācāro, bhikkhave, tathāgato;

    His bodily behavior is pure.

    natthi tathāgatassa kāyaduccaritaṁ yaṁ tathāgato rakkheyya:

    So the Realized One has no bodily misconduct to hide, thinking:

    ‘mā me idaṁ paro aññāsī’ti.

    ‘Don’t let others find this out about me!’

    Parisuddhavacīsamācāro, bhikkhave, tathāgato;

    His verbal behavior is pure.

    natthi tathāgatassa vacīduccaritaṁ yaṁ tathāgato rakkheyya:

    So the Realized One has no verbal misconduct to hide, thinking:

    ‘mā me idaṁ paro aññāsī’ti.

    ‘Don’t let others find this out about me!’

    Parisuddhamanosamācāro, bhikkhave, tathāgato;

    His mental behavior is pure.

    natthi tathāgatassa manoduccaritaṁ yaṁ tathāgato rakkheyya:

    So the Realized One has no mental misconduct to hide, thinking:

    ‘mā me idaṁ paro aññāsī’ti.

    ‘Don’t let others find this out about me!’

  15. 4.1

    Parisuddhājīvo, bhikkhave, tathāgato;

    His livelihood is pure.

  16. 4.2

    natthi tathāgatassa micchāājīvo yaṁ tathāgato rakkheyya:

    So the Realized One has no wrong livelihood to hide, thinking:

    ‘mā me idaṁ paro aññāsī’ti.

    ‘Don’t let others find this out about me!’

    Imāni cattāri tathāgatassa arakkheyyāni.

    These are the four areas where the Realized One has nothing to hide.

    What are the three ways the Realized One is irreproachable?

    Svākkhātadhammo, bhikkhave, tathāgato.

    The Realized One has explained the teaching well.

    Tatra vata maṁ samaṇo vā brāhmaṇo vā devo vā māro vā brahmā vā koci vā lokasmiṁ sahadhammena paṭicodessati:

    I see no reason for anyone—whether ascetic, brahmin, god, Māra, or the Divinity, or anyone else in the world—to legitimately scold me, saying:

    ‘itipi tvaṁ na svākkhātadhammo’ti.

    ‘For such reasons you haven’t explained the teaching well.’

  23. 6.5

    Nimittametaṁ, bhikkhave, na samanupassāmi.

  24. 6.6

    Etamahaṁ, bhikkhave, nimittaṁ asamanupassanto khemappatto abhayappatto vesārajjappatto viharāmi.

    Since I see no such reason, I live secure, fearless, and self-assured.

  25. 7.1

    Supaññattā kho pana me, bhikkhave, sāvakānaṁ nibbānagāminī paṭipadā.

    I have clearly described the practice that leads to extinguishment for my disciples.

  26. 7.2

    Yathāpaṭipannā mama sāvakā āsavānaṁ khayā anāsavaṁ cetovimuttiṁ paññāvimuttiṁ diṭṭheva dhamme sayaṁ abhiññā sacchikatvā upasampajja viharanti.

    Practicing in accordance with this, my disciples realize the undefiled freedom of heart and freedom by wisdom. And they live having realized it with their own insight in this very life due to the ending of defilements.

  27. 7.3

    Tatra vata maṁ samaṇo vā brāhmaṇo vā devo vā māro vā brahmā vā koci vā lokasmiṁ sahadhammena paṭicodessati:

    I see no reason for anyone—whether ascetic, brahmin, god, Māra, or the Divinity, or anyone else in the world—to legitimately scold me, saying:

    ‘itipi te na supaññattā sāvakānaṁ nibbānagāminī paṭipadā. Yathāpaṭipannā tava sāvakā āsavānaṁ khayā …pe… sacchikatvā upasampajja viharantī’ti.

    ‘For such reasons you haven’t clearly described the practice that leads to extinguishment for your disciples.’

    Nimittametaṁ, bhikkhave, na samanupassāmi.

  30. 7.6

    Etamahaṁ, bhikkhave, nimittaṁ asamanupassanto khemappatto abhayappatto vesārajjappatto viharāmi.

    Since I see no such reason, I live secure, fearless, and self-assured.

  31. 8.1

    Anekasatā kho pana me, bhikkhave, sāvakaparisā āsavānaṁ khayā …pe… sacchikatvā upasampajja viharanti.

    Many hundreds in my assembly of disciples have realized the undefiled freedom of heart and freedom by wisdom. And they live having realized it with their own insight in this very life due to the ending of defilements.

  32. 8.2

    Tatra vata maṁ samaṇo vā brāhmaṇo vā devo vā māro vā brahmā vā koci vā lokasmiṁ sahadhammena paṭicodessati:

    I see no reason for anyone—whether ascetic, brahmin, god, Māra, or the Divinity, or anyone else in the world—to legitimately scold me, saying:

    ‘itipi te na anekasatā sāvakaparisā āsavānaṁ khayā anāsavaṁ cetovimuttiṁ paññāvimuttiṁ diṭṭheva dhamme sayaṁ abhiññā sacchikatvā upasampajja viharantī’ti.

    ‘For such reasons you don’t have many hundreds of disciples in your following who have realized the undefiled freedom of heart and freedom by wisdom, and who live having realized it with their own insight in this very life due to the ending of defilements.’

    Nimittametaṁ, bhikkhave, na samanupassāmi.

    Etamahaṁ, bhikkhave, nimittaṁ asamanupassanto khemappatto abhayappatto vesārajjappatto viharāmi.

    Since I see no such reason, I live secure, fearless, and self-assured.

    These are the three ways the Realized One is irreproachable.
