ข้อ ๒๓๓ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย อาฆาตวัตถุ ๙ ประการนี้ ๙ ประการเป็นไฉน คือ บุคคล ย่อมผูกความอาฆาตว่า คนโน้นได้ประพฤติสิ่งมิใช่ประโยชน์แก่เราแล้ว ๑ คนโน้นย่อมประพฤติ สิ่งมิใช่ประโยชน์แก่เรา ๑ คนโน้นจักประพฤติสิ่งมิใช่ประโยชน์แก่เรา ๑ ย่อมผูกความอาฆาตว่า

คนโน้นได้ประพฤติสิ่งมิใช่ประโยชน์แก่คนที่รักที่ชอบใจของเราแล้ว ๑ คนโน้นย่อมประพฤติ
