Saṁyojaniyadhammasutta
The exterior sense fields are the things that fetter, the craving is the fetter.
ฉบับหลวงสังโยชนสูตร

พระผู้มีพระภาคตรัสว่า ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย เราจักแสดงธรรมอันเป็นที่ตั้งแห่งสังโยชน์และสังโยชน์ เธอทั้งหลายจงฟังธรรมนั้น ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย ก็ธรรมอันเป็นที่ตั้งแห่ง สังโยชน์ และสังโยชน์เป็นไฉน ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย ธรรมอันเป็นที่ตั้งแห่งสังโยชน์และสัง โยชน์นั้น คือรูปที่จะพึงรู้แจ้งด้วยจักษุอันน่าปรารถนา น่าใคร่ น่าพอใจ น่ารัก ชักให้ใคร่ ชวนให้กำหนัด เหล่านี้เรียกว่า ธรรมเป็นที่ตั้งแห่งสังโยชน์ ความกำหนัดด้วยอำนาจความพอใจในรูปนั้น เป็นตัวสังโยชน์ในรูปนั้น ฯลฯ ธรรมารมณ์ที่จะพึงรู้แจ้งด้วยใจอันน่าปรารถนา น่าใคร่ น่าพอใจ น่ารัก ชักให้ใคร่ ชวนให้กำหนัด เหล่านี้เรียกว่า ธรรมเป็นที่ตั้งแห่งสังโยชน์ ความกำหนัดด้วยอำนาจความพอใจในธรรมารมณ์นั้น เป็นตัวสังโยชน์ในธรรมารมณ์นั้น ฯ

What are the things that tighten the fetters? And what is the fetter?

Santi, bhikkhave, cakkhuviññeyyā rūpā iṭṭhā kantā manāpā piyarūpā kāmūpasaṁhitā rajanīyā.
There are sights known by the eye, which are likable, desirable, agreeable, pleasant, sensual, and arousing.

Ime vuccanti, bhikkhave, saṁyojaniyā dhammā.
These are called the things that tighten the fetters.

Yo tattha chandarāgo, taṁ tattha saṁyojanaṁ …pe…
The desire and greed for them is the fetter.
