One who has neglected the four bases of psychic power has neglected the path to the end of suffering.

ข้อ ๑๑๐๙ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย อิทธิบาท ๔ อันชนเหล่าใดเหล่าหนึ่งเบื่อแล้ว ชนเหล่านั้นก็ชื่อว่า เบื่ออริยมรรคเครื่องให้ถึงความสิ้นทุกข์โดยชอบ อิทธิบาท ๔ อันชนเหล่าใดเหล่าหนึ่งปรารภแล้ว ชนเหล่านั้นชื่อว่า ปรารภอริยมรรคเครื่องให้ถึงความสิ้นทุกข์โดยชอบ อิทธิบาท ๔ เป็นไฉน? ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย ภิกษุในธรรมวินัยนี้ย่อมเจริญอิทธิบาทประกอบด้วยฉันทสมาธิ และปธานสังขาร … วิริยสมาธิ … จิตตสมาธิ … วิมังสาสมาธิและปธานสังขาร อิทธิบาท ๔ เหล่านี้ อันชนเหล่าใดเหล่าหนึ่งเบื่อแล้ว ชนเหล่านั้นก็ชื่อว่า เบื่ออริยมรรคที่ให้ถึงความสิ้นทุกข์โดยชอบ อิทธิบาท ๔ เหล่านี้ อันชนเหล่าใดเหล่าหนึ่งปรารภแล้ว ชนเหล่านั้นชื่อว่า ปรารภอริยมรรคที่ให้ถึงความสิ้นทุกข์โดยชอบ.
